A bit of encouragement

I found this link today on someone else's blog - and it is a great reminder for us moms that our ministry can be primarily at home while our babies are young. Sometimes I struggle so much with that - remembering what my life was like when I first came to know the Lord, and had opportunity to serve so much. We went to a very small church then, so all jobs were done by a small few! So we did a lot, music team, teaching Sunday school, work days, administration, church board...a lot of stuff! It's pretty easy to feel 'out of the loop' once you have more kids, especially while they are little...but the above post reminded me that it's okay! Check it out if you need encouragement in that area!

We have been operating mostly 'business as usual' around here...I think my hubby is a little stressed right now because he didn't get the permanent position he applied for - so his work is still temporary...I keep trying to encourage him not to be stressed about it - it is what it is...God has brought us here, and only He can take us through!

We have been enjoying 3 day weekends lately, actually every weekend in July is a 3-dayer which is fun for the kids...they ask almost every night if 'daddy has a day off tomorrow?" It's just fun for us to get that extra day to hang out together.

We have been trying to decide what to do about more camping...although next weekend we are going to take our camper to my sister-in-law's parents place...that should be a lot of fun, I have been wanting to go out there since we moved to Regina almost 2 years ago. I need to remember to take my camera - I am sure there will be lots of great photo-ops!

As for our school life - I am not really sure what I am doing...we just won't go there right now! Today is a park day - and sometimes that is exactly what you need to keep everything sane and normal! I have to go and clean up before we leave so if we spend most of our day out it will still be okay around here!
