I did it again...

I just looked at the blog so I could remember what I said last time, and I had to giggle, because that day I didn't have anything to write about (which is the reason half the time I don't update as often as I would like) - boy once I started talking - I just kept going, and going......teehee!

Anyway, last night I was reminded of so much of that again as we were reading in Phillipians - Paul was in prison, was struggling between wanting to go home and be with the Lord and wanting to stay and serve....he had to choose contentment....and (sigh) so do I!
Here are a few pictures of what we have been doing lately.
Swimming lessons started a couple of weeks ago. Aunty Ashley came to be Amelia's partner in the water because I couldn't take both Amelia and Abbey in the water, and let's face it - if someone has to wear a bathing suit - might as well be Ashley! LOL! I can't tell you how much Amelia is enjoying these lessons - even as she gets splashed!

This is Grace's class - playing Chop, Chop, Timber!

We are still studing Ancient Rome, and one of assignments recently was to make Wheat Bread like they did in the novel we are reading (which is just an AMAZING story, by the way!) So here is Olivia making her first batch of bread "with almost no supervision - right mom?" Yes dear, almost with no supervision! LOL!!!

It was quite good bread! Very impressive!

Grace has been reading like crazy lately - especially because of the Mayor's Mega Minute Reading Challenge - once you have accumulated 2 hours in reading you can enter for a trip to Disneyland! If that doesn't motivate you - I don't know what would!

The girls also worked together the other day (Monday I think) to make this kit of a 3-D model of a Roman villa - it was challenging - but they got it put together!

And here is my Abbey - just hanging out with us, taking it all in - and so desperately right now at this minute needing her morning nap - I gotta go!
