I need to write some stuff somewhere, just in case someday I get to scrapbook. Amelia is almost 3, and if you ask her when her birthday is she will tell you that it is 'to January'. So because it is almost her birthday, and she is as cute as can be, I thought I would write some of these things down, so we don't forget!!!
Amelia is the queen of the crooked smile, and one of the cutest things she says lately is "a much and a much and a much" which means a lot. If she wants to have something, or wants to do something, or is talking about how much it hurts or doesn't hurt when you brush her hair, she says it is " a much and a much and a much". Too adorable!
Speaking of brushing her hair, she never wants it in a pony tail, because she wants to have 'curly hair'. She wants to leave it down, and will concede to barrettes, or even a half pony tail, just as long as some is left down, so it is 'curly hair like Mrs. Holowachuck'. Now that she is in gymnastics, she has to wear it in a pony for her class, and is kind of okay with it, as long as I assure her that the pony tail itself is curly.
While we are on the subject of her knowing what she wants, she ALWAYS wants to wear a dress. I was remembering yesterday when she went through a few months of ALWAYS having to have a sweater on over top of her shirt. And now it is dresses. So she wears one every day - now that it is winter, she has to wear tights, and really prefers if they 'spin' - which of course means that they go out when you twirl! She likes to clunk in play shoes, which she calls clunky shoes, and loves to wear the dollar store tiaras - even when we go out!
She also is usually the first lately to say thank you to me for making supper. I don't know if these kids got together and decided that this would be a good thing to do, but that is what they do lately. Every day after supper, someone says "Thank you for making suppper, mom" and then the others say thanks too! It is too funny! Usually lately, it is Amelia who says it first!
Yesterday she was having a hard time opening this puzzle that she got for Christmas and so Grace was helping her, and she said "you the best sister I ever had" which was probably the first time I have ever heard her say it to Grace. It is also cute when she tells me that I am the best mom she's ever had!
We were having a problem with whining for a while, and so I told her that the Bible says "A cheerful heart is good medicine". Now she quotes it to people all the time - to the point that Tracy said Sarah was trying to remember it last week!
She is so funny, and smily, and fun, every time you say "yes" to any request, she responds with the absolute most enthusiastic "Fwanks"

She is always getting stuck on the counter when she is brushing her teeth, and she'll call quite desperately from the bathroom "Heeeellllllpppp, I'm stuck on the counter" and when she has to go to the bathroom, she runs there singing, "Run, Run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!" Or ever since Christmas, she sometimes says "Run, run, with a leap and a twirl, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread girl" Too cute!
Did I ever mention this is one of my very favorite ages? She talks about her 'cousin Katie' and always calls Erin 'Erin Emily' and Sarah is always 'Sarah Mile' . She has her own ideas about stuff, can communicate so well, and learns so fast! I am so incredibly blessed with these kids!!!
(Now this is all written down for the days when she is being 3 and driving me crazy!!!)
