So yesterday was the last swimming lesson of this session. I am very glad, but sad at the same time. I am glad that the commitment is over, but sad because the girls are doing so well, I am so tempted to put them into another set of lessons. They both passed their levels, so Olivia is going into swimkids 4, and Grace can finally go on to Sunfish, after 3 or maybe even 4 times through Salamander.
I don't want to go out in the winter though, freezing my butt off, and dragging them all in there, and having them have frozen hair - ugghhhhh! Too hard to do swimming in the winter. If Greg wasn't in school, I would schedule the lessons for later in the evening - like AFTER supper, so that he could take them. It makes so much more sense for him to take them anyway. He is the one with the leisure centre pass, he could spend the 40 minutes they are in lessons working out.
Anyway, he is in school, so I would have to take them, and drag the littles with me too, so I don't think we will be doing that.
All that being said, the progression these girls are making in swimming is UNBELIEVABLE! It is crazy! Grace now will put her whole face in the water, and do front and back floats, front and back rocketship glides, and Olivia can do front and back crawl, and even swim completely underwater. I am even impressed with her ability to do the three strokes and then breathe. I can't do that! But it is probably because I don't like to put my face in the water! LOL! I will be sure to get her a swimming cap again though, it makes it way easier for her.
Here are some pics, and no, you can't see Grace well, because she is UNDER the water! Too crazy!
Grace is front floating here - see her feet are near the end of the slide. She front floated for more than the minimum 3 seconds! Crazy, heh?

Here, Grace is doing a front 'rocket-ship' glide. With her face in the water! She did this one also more than the minimum! I really can hardly believe it!

And my little fish Olivia! She is so amazing! I can hardly believe how well she swims. It is too hard to get action shots of her, because she is too far away from the edge and then using the flash makes the photo too dark, and not using it makes the photo blurry.
I will try to post the video of them watersliding later!
